One of the most desirable cars in Honda's current lineup is the Honda Fit, which is the Japanese automaker's top selling car in its class. The revitalized 2012 Honda Fit coming soon to Stephens Honda in Bloomington, Indiana will be given interior and exterior updates. While the Fit is not undertaking a full redesign, the slight modifications are still just as important.
The 2012 Fit Sport will obtain a vaguely altered grille, and matte black coloring around the headlights and turning signals. Updates also include a mysterious, smooth machined surface on its alloy wheels. The side view mirrors will also obtain this machined look, which will be different from the base model's as the base models will be offered in the identical color as the vehicle's exterior.
Probably the most exciting, the Fit will have two new color schemes, Orange Burst Metallic and Blue Raspberry Metallic, available in 2012.
The 2012 Fit Sport will come with "dark metallic dashboard components for a unified color theme." And, all 2012 Fit models will have "added sound insulation measures," as Honda understands road noise is a major concern for those commuting in metropolitan areas. To ensure a quieter and stable commute the Fit will receive thicker front window glass.1
The car's fuel efficient powertrain a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder producing 117 hp, will stay the same. It's EPA rated at 28 miles per gallon city, 35 highway.
